Can't move component independently

I created two components by splitting the body in component 1. Now when I move component 1, it takes comp 2 with it, but I can move comp 2 independently. Why doesn't comp 1 move independently? There are no joints in the model locking them together.  If I ground comp 2 then nothing can move.  Is there some setting to break this linkage?

In the video you'll see me grab comp 1, and comp 2 moves with it.  Then I activate comp 2 and grab comp 2 and it moves alone.  Then I activate comp 1 and grab comp 1 again, and comp 2 moves with it.

I also attached the f3d file.

Hi,

Right click component 3 and choose unground, and then you can select each component and move it separately, but I noticed that component 3 is a part of component 2 and that causes you problem moving them ...

here is a file I did what I explained inside

Kind regards, Saeed

Sorry, I used the wrong component names in describing my problem. I said components 1 & 2, but I meant comp 2 & 3 (I guess I should have named them to make it clearer).  But you did give me an important clue to solving the problem when you mentioned that 3 is part of 2.  I completely failed to notice that relationship.  I moved comp 3 to the top level (just dragged it up, see video) and now all is good.

Thanks.
