Can't mirror feature/faces, regardless of compute option

I tried a couple different ways, but can't seem to get this to work. Maybe it's due to how I have my components laid out? I've tried 'Identical', 'Optimized', and 'Adjust' compute options, but no luck.

Sorry, tried to insert the screencast but it is still in the pending state. I have provided a link below in the meantime.

Hi,

You cannot mirror elements from one body to another.
Try this:

are all the sides going to have the holes?  ie, are all the sides going to be  identical?  if yes, they should all really be instances of the same component, and not separate unique components.

here's a file of just the lid done this way.

(ps-when the question isn't specifically about the behavior of linked components, it's nice to break the link to external components before exporting.  .f3d files are easier for forum users to deal with than .f3z files)

That's a good point on both fronts. In this case all 8 sides are not the same, but at least the two in question are, so mirroring the component is the way to go. And good call on the .f3d files, I will use that format next time. Your attached lid component definitely helped connect the dots.

Thanks!

fyi-mirroring a component still creates a unique component.  you can do a partial circular pattern to get fewer instances.  see attached.
