Can't join a revolved object and a solid

I have a sketch that I revolved and a solid object that intersects with the revolved object, selecting the two and trying to combine doesn't work, I can't seem to select the revolved object. Am I missing something?

Above is the solid object.

Above shows the two selected. Nothing I've found allows me to hit "OK" on the join dialog box that appears once I hit "Combine."

I solved my own problem—with the revolve object selected, I did a Boundary Fill and that created a duplicate solid object of the revolve object.

The issue is that a revolved object is just a shell, not a solid, if the path is not closed. Therefore, you need to Solid >Create > Thicken the surface into a Solid. Only then can it be combined or joined with other solids.
