Can't identify mystery object in browser, can't find missing box.

Hello:

I have a ghostly rectangle floating around in my drawing above a "floor" in a place where I haven't put anything at all. .  I trield turning every body and component on and off in browser, couldn't identify it.  I can select it, and even select "show in browser".

Last time I did a "show in browser", nothing happened. Since then I have closed and re-opened.  Now "show in browser" highlights the floor sketch, a sketch in the plane of the top of the floor.  But, the rectangle is above the floor, and cannot be in that plane!  I open the sketch, and of course the rectangle isn't there.

(I'm trying to think of beginner mistakes I can make on this...  I tried to make sure almost everything is visible.  I tried to make sure nothing else was selected. )

There used to be a box on or near the floor.  It disappeared, I don't know how or why. Could this be related?

Any help identifying the ghostly rectangle and recovering my my lost box would be much appreciated

Thanks,

-TP

What happens when you hit Compute All, on the Modify menu?

Thank you very much for suggestion.

1) Got lots of warnings about using cached geometry. (?)

2) The Ghost rectangle went away - YAY!

3) My missing box came back - Yay!

4) An unrelated box jumped across the drawing for no apparent reason.

Very useful, if not perfect.   I guess next time I notice weird things, I will recompute.

THANKS!

Hi @thepirate1, it would help a lot for us to see what you are seeing.  A screenshot, a screencast, share the model, etc.  So, next time you see something like this, just add some extra info.  You shouldn't have to do Compute All very often.  It would be good if we knew what you were seeing, so we could steer you in the right direction.

Thanks,
