Can't group components

Hey Everybody,

So, I imported some IGES files from McMaster-Carr of some screws to a guitar pickguard model that I'm doing, and I've noticed that I can't group the 8 objects together in a folder of their own to clean up my browser a bit.

Am I missing a technique?  I can't seem to find any commands to achieve this.

Please let me know if I'm missing something.  Seems like the ability to arrange and group objects in the browser would be a handy idea.

Best,

Joe Whyte

Hi @Anonymous,

It's very easy, just create a new Component, give it a name "SCREWS" and drag & drop all the screws in there 😉

Cheers / Ben

Has anyone else noticed that for some reason, after a time, the ability to nest or group components into a new or older components just stops functioning?

Am I missing something here? Seems like it works fine then for some reason just stops. Not sure what the trigger is or how to reverse the problem,

Anyone?

There's more than one reason for this, however, one of the most common one's is that the timeline marker is not rolled all the way to the back, which is not that uncommon in models that get more complex.

Thanks! For me, that was the issue. Nesting components is working again. Thanks!
