Can't change view of component in a drawing

The drawing sheet already contains 4 components, but I added 2 more. They were in the wrong orientation, so I right-clicked the first one and chose Edit View. The Select View prompt appeared, but the selection window didn't.

The problem is that Fusion doesn't remember that you clicked on the component before you selected edit view, you just have to click on the component again after selecting edit view.

Thank you, thank you. That worked fine.

In the video you are not selecting the view, before you do the right-click and Edit View.

The view is just highlighted because you are hovering on it with the mouse.

That's why Fusion asks to select the view. If, at that point you click on the view, the dialog for changing the orientation will show up.

Otherwise, you really need to click on the view for selecting it first, and you should see a little square in the middle of the view that confirm you have done it.

After that, if you right-click and Edit View, you will see the dialog popping up.

See also the video below that hopefully clarify it more.

I hope it helps,

Maybe that is something that needs to be worked on in the future for drawings. There are plenty of instances where right clicking on something opens a menu that gives options that work on the selected object. Drawings should work in the same way, where right clicking on a view will give the menu of options for that view and selecting say edit view will open the dialog box for editing the selected view. It will help keep continuity between all areas of Fusion.
