Can't boundary fill or join components. Just says boolean operation failed

I think I have one component that is a surface body and another body component. I made the second one as an atrtempt to replace the front face I deleted on the front of the component as it had loads of triangle when imported from mesh

I literally just want to cut four holes for screws and cut a square from the same face with the adjacent rectangle but it won't let me cut the square I just need to cut this square hole and I can incinerate this cursed software. I have cut four holes for the screws.

I've tried joining them with boundary fill and join functions but both just throw errors. Any suggestions?

You didn't explain WHERE the source came from? Some website? You created it? Your friend created it?

Why is the geometry far from the Origin?

As soon as we import the geometry, we are prompted that (the creator doesn't know how to create the geometry) the geometry is poor quality.

Model the box from scratch and know that you have high quality geometry.
