Can Only Select 1 part of SVG for Split Face Command

I am split facing a few SVG files and I can't select more than one part of it, I have tried holding down control but when I do that I still can't do it, however when doing options like Press Pull etc. I can select more than one face easily. Any ideas ? I used Inkscape to make the svg and am still very new to Fusion 360.
