Can not edit old project

I can't edit an old project of mine but I can edit other projects.  I've tried turning on capture design history but that does not work.  If I add new objects I can modify parameters but not the pre existing components.  I attached the file and I was wondering if anyone could explain what I am doing wrong please?  Also it is not a read only file and is editable.

the model you uploaded contains 2 mesh bodies.  your only going to be able to edit these using mesh tools.

did you originally create this infusion and then convert them to a mesh?  if so it would probably be best to revert back to the original fusion model before you did the conversion.

I used Mesh Section Sketch on your model and created a base parametric solid which may help you.  You can at least begin with it to edit it into what you desire using the Solid environment.  Model is attached.

I'm not sure what I did when I created it because it was a long time ago and I have no memory of what I did.  Are mesh tools built into fusion 360?  I'm a complete newbie so I have no idea what I'm doing lol.  Thanks for your reply and taking time to help : )

Thank you very much!  I appreciate your help and taking time to create the solid model : )  I have tried modifying some of the parameters and I have 2 questions.  I was wondering how I would make the handle longer and wider?  Also is there a way to make the sides of the U shape wider but keeping the bottom part of the u shape the same size?  I'm a complete newbie so I have no idea what I am doing lol.

IF you made the original yourself in fusion, then you may be able to revert to a previous version that is before you converted it to a mesh object.  It's unfortunate that you did the work with the timeline off, b/c if you had a time line this would be extremely simple.  just roll back the timeline to before you converted to a mesh.

you may be able to use what @jhackney1972 did to move forward.  but I think you would benefit greatly from learning how to make this from scratch.  it's an extremely simple object, and modeling it from scratch will give you more options in terms of making changes to it.

@johnsonshiue - this is a modeling question, not a file management question.  it should be moved back to the design forum.
