Can no longer....

....use "Cmd-Z" to undo, or reorganize components in the browser with local Fusion360

I'm on a mac...  Why can I no longer perform these tasks?

Also:

  • The mirroring feature is buggy.  An option does not exist to mirror components and it will only allow a limited number of selections (two).  It also incorrectly mirrored over the specified plane.

I can find a workaround, but if a functionality os availabe then it should work.

Cmd-Z should still work to undo.  There is no bug that I know of that shows undo not working.  Does undo work from the icon for you?

The rest of what you are seeing is most likely the difference between History-based documents and Direct Modeling documents.  The History-based (also known as Parametric) document is a more recent addition to Fusion (one year ago).  Some features of Fusion are not yet fully complete in a History-based document.  We realize that these are important, and they are on the list, but we just haven't gotten to them yet.    All of these features continue to function as always on Direct Modeling documents.

Restructuring components in the browser in a Parametric document should work in most common cases, but there may well be cases that are not yet fully implemented, or for which the timeline prevents a restructuring operation.  If you have a specific case that you can describe, we can comment on whether it is a bug or just not yet implemented.

Mirroring components are not yet implemented in parametric documents (those operations still exist in direct modeling documents).  Unfortunately, mirroring components in a Parametric workflow is complex, and we want to get it right.

Command-z started working again after restarting Fusion. Not sure why it stopped. The undo icon was always working.

Definitely appreciate the direct modeling capabilities, but looking forward to the features working for both direct modeling and parametric.
I didn’t realize that the browser-component order was linked the history, but that makes sense. Would be great if they functioned independently so I could regroup my components as my design evolves.
