Can I hide hidden lines in model mode?

I am trying to show my customer a final model comprising of a dozen or so parts.  I have assembled all parts in an assembly but the basic design is matte finish black plastic, so the render doesn't show very well.

I would like to show the customer the design in model mode, but all of the hidden lines show through and confuse the appearance.

Is there a way to turn off hidden lines in model mode?  

Other than creating a simulation or showing all of the parts on a drawing, I can't figure a way to show the design to a customer.  Screen shots are not that useful with the hidden lines showing through, especially with multiple overlapped parts.  

I can't upload the whole assembly due to proprietary agreements but I am uploading the screen shot of one part to show what I mean.

Click the monitor icon on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen, from the you have Visual Styles and you can change to visible edges only.
