Can Fusion 360 do this?

Hi Everyone,

Just downloaded Fusion and was wondering if I can create decorations like that attached?

It was a toss up between Fusion or Blender.

If possible, maybe someone could point me in the right direction for a tutorial to accomplish this.

Thanks

Hi, thank you for posting your question! This is not a tutorial but the below URL contains a lot of tips about T-spline modeling. Please take a look!

Just make sure to avoid the totally unenecessary traingles in that workflow!

I've asked @Anonymous already in another thread if he'd be willing to re-do that tutorials 😉

Are you talking about triangles in the middle of the face? I'm guessing
that you still need a triangle where a face comes to a point.

@TrippyLighting

I am very curious to see how @747skys model turns out using this method.

Yesterday I was contacted buy a guy that is interested in me freelancing this exact type of work. So I tested this method yesterday and came to the conclusion after about 5 min that I wouldn't be doing it this way. Don't get me wrong technically it would work but it's not an ideal workflow by any means. Anyways I'll lurk and see what comes of this and post some progress I am making on mine in my other thread so I don't derail this one.

@747skys

" I'm guessing that you still need a triangle where a face comes to a point."

This is incorrect, personally I would "NEVER" add a triangle to a T-spline form.....

With T-Splines you can create a very complex form with just a quad...look here...this tip is a quad.

I am by no means an expert with T-Splines, but I do have a little experience with them. I will try to help you as I make progress, but I am very busy so my help will be intermittent.
