Calling All CNC Router Users!

This is a somewhat tongue in cheek call to all my fellow CNC router users.

I feel we are being marginalized a bit.

I understand that F360 is so many things, and really aimed at metal parts, but I have this feeling that there are many, many paying users out there who are Router owners.

We've been clamoring for NESTING for years, told it was coming, for metal first of course, and then crickets.

We did get Generative Design (meh) and then the heaven opening PCB boards update, so useful, thank you.

F360 is many things to many people, and I love it, but I have this feeling, maybe wrong, that there are a **** ton of router users that pay the bills, who could get a little more love...

Opine away!

I never seen Autodesk promised something but never implemented. Yes, it may be taking time but if you want quality, you have to give it some time. All functionaly of a Autodesk software is always up to the mark in quality. And, generative design? It was a demand of time. Because, future world of design will be dependent on it. We cant take the chance to let ourselves behind. Even, I use this platform even living in an underdeveloping country. Because I know it will cover up the entire industry within some years.

So I'm also waiting like you to get the expected functionalities we wish to get. But, I allow to give the developers some time for whatever they are doing.

I was wrong, it seems like there are only two of us.

Apologies.

Learning CAM for using a tiny Millright M3 machine myself. I'd love to see more features on CAM for woodworking :).

I feel Vectric's productline might be more suited for us. I guess in time it will come to Fusion aswell. Still a whole bunch of smart toolpaths in Fusion that's useful for me.

Edit:

Btw, I remember I saw nesting in Fusion a while back. As a addin though, but it might still be of interest to you.

Best regards,

Erik Karlsson

Yup. I use Vectric Aspire as well. Not that it's awesome or anything, it came with my Laguna Swift 4x4.

Sorry.

Nothing more to add.

I actually use Mapboards Pro which is available in the application store, it's good...

I have V Carve Pro as well. It's what I learnt with, great program - it's what I train my employees with to start.

It's great for flat parts, immensly quicker for some things, but F360 is better overall as I build furniture, and get models from clients all the time.

I like pockets and profiles better in V Carve.

And being able to window select multiples in CAM/Toolpathing

I love DOWELJOINT in the app store.

Highly Recommend. CNC drill flat parts, then I have a flip flop machine for the ends.
