Building a fully parametric part help, inputing a dimension list

Apologize for not learning the fundamentals, but I don't have time and just came across this software. I have 2 days during this holiday vacation to put 3 hours into building a respectable fully parametric sample part to show a startup owner the ability of this software an myself. The guy understands the rush of this project, but I need to be able to show the changing of dimensions and re-building of the part based on how we proceed with R&D and prototyping.

My question is can I begin building a part in 360 by immediately opening a list somewhere where I can start typing in dimensions and naming them so I can just reference them while I am building the part or are you inputting the names and dimensions on the fly.  I'd really like to have a list I can input them all at once or better yet just upload an excel sheet.  If I can upload an excel sheet, I'll be real happy.

Appreciate the help.

Hi @Anonymous,

Yes, you can pre-define parameters in the Change Parameters dialog:

I don't know if there is any way to import a spreadsheet to define the parameters, but this is something that could be done via the API (and, in fact, someone may have done this already, for all I know).

Good luck with your test!

Jeff

You can setup a list of parameters before you start.

See parameter dialog help

There is a plugin for import from a spreadsheet.
