BUG? Sculpt edit form pivot set

I have a bug with edit form pivot setting.  it seems isolated to this file.  other files no issue.

I brought in a quad mesh, scaled it, added another component for reference, broke link, converted mesh to tspline,

any help is appreciated, design and log files attached

Thanks for sharing this one!  There is some amazing sketch work in that design. As for the Edit Form tool's set pivot command going all wonky, I'm not sure why that is happening. I tried to repair the sculpt body and to even manually eliminate some of the start and T-points in the design, but the set pivot issue persists no matter what I try.

I've logged this issue with development, reference ID FUS-28674. I or someone with a bit more expertise will circle back when we learn more.

Thank you and have a great weekend!

Thanks

for checking it out.  The project is making an ANSI/IEC standard ear for acoustic measurements.  Until fusion I have not been able to tackle this project since I didn't have the software and skill needed.  With Tsplines and the community I do have the tools needed!

I tried a few approaches but they proved difficult including the file I sent.

methods ones that didn't work so good for me

  • loft between sketches (with sketches so close eventually it failed
  • Find mesh of an ear import and convert to tspline - too many elements - I did find this great program but I could only simplify it so much.  It makes great quads though.
  • Tried flat face then pull into shape, doable but tedious

Then yesterday I realized that I could use the face command and snap to the splines.  I was finally able to make a sufficiently detailed model to get what I needed. only took me a couple hours.

I used every 4th sketch to create the box mode mesh then used the others for checking and tweaking.  worked great

took me longer to get all the canvases in and calibrated and then sketched.  I will put in a feature request to add calibrate in the insert command:}  this is where I am at currently
