BUG: Parameters

Hi,
When using the parameters on a component that has a fairly high amount of constraints, it will after a while bug, and create a mess. At first i thought my sketches linked to the body (inside the component), was not properly linked and/or had bad parameter algorithm. But it just kept bugging at random times, so i tested it...
This is what i got.

I'm only changing one parameter, going back and forth from 26mm to 30mm. It work's fine for a while then suddenly makes the body into a total mess, and Fusion blames a sketch. So that indicates a bug in my mind.

Could this be some kind of memory problem within fusion( something like max history counts)?

any help would be very nice 😃

You should definintely shar your design. Without having access to it there is no way this bug can be tracked down assuming it is a bug.

You can share it through the share function in  the data panel, or by exporting it as a .f3d or .f3z.

Yes, that sounds like a bug, especially if that change back and forth works for a while.  As @TrippyLighting says, if you share your design, we'd be happy to investigate.

Your Sketch9 is under defined and once the parameter hits a certain  threshold the design goes haywire.

The light purple color of slot in the center indicted the the shape is not fully defined, so you need a few more dimensions and constraints to keep that in check.

A simple horizontal constraint Screen Shot 2016-10-01 at 7.02.39 AM.pngon the lower and upper line of the slot will fully constrain the sketch and the design will behave as expected.

Thank you so much! That fixed the problem, and made me more conscious to look for weird constraints that was kinda similar to each other, and made the problem even worse down the line. But now it all works smoothly. made me so happy, thanks 😃
