BUG: in pattern features with 2 components

I created top plate with extrude 2 ways and rectangular pattern and the left "empty" plate.

After joinning both plate i have edit extrude to select body to cut. At this point the extrude feature cutes the other plate, but pattern doesn't. Only if I delete and create same pattern its ok

yes, that is a bug all right.  Thank you for reporting it.  I can reproduce it.  I will file this bug with the dev team to take a look at.
