Brick in chimney wall

I am starting out with Fusion and have a chimney that slopes in two dimensions.  I have been able to etch and emboss bricks on the two long sides and top but the two short sides do not want to cooperate.  Looking for help on what is wrong with the design.

@tdelaneyHRVWS, Not clear with what you want.

Like this is what I am able to see.

I sensed that perhaps they wanted to design a combination of bricks for the chimney.

So I moved the shape of the bricks and used boolean operations to split them.

This time it was done in one place, but if it is done in all places, it will be completed.

I used Align for the move, but you could also use Joint.

I have divided each wall, but apparently the wall design is not parallel and does not follow the shape of the bricks.

I think the walls need to be redesigned to align with the thickness of the bricks.

I am trying to extrude or emboss the brick grout component/sketch represented as Brick Wall-Tom-Chimney into the walls and top of a chimney part.  I am able to do both on the long surfaces of the part but the same procedure does not work on the sides.  To get the extrude feature to work on the shore sides, I needed to use a construction plane with three points.  It looks like the surface is not flat and this is causing an uneven "cut" extrude.  I have drawn this part using both the Loft tool and Surface Planes and get the same result.

I cannot select the short side surface to apply the emboss command.

Here is a drawing showing the embossed surface on the long side and the incomplete embossing on the short side.  Also included is the sketch used for embossing.

Hope this provides a clearer description of the problem.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply.  I was a little unclear with the words I chose in explaining my problem.  I am not trying to make a brick wall but trying to simulate a brick wall (façade) on a part.

I am trying to extrude or emboss the brick grout component/sketch represented by the Brick Wall-Tom-Chimney component into the walls and top of a ranch-chimney part. This will allow for the look of a brick wall using only a small depth for the grout lines.

I was able to use both tools on the long surfaces of the ranch-chimney part but the same procedure does not work on the sides.  To get the extrude feature to work on the short sides, I needed to use a construction plane with three points for alignment.  Even with doing this it looks like the surface is not flat and this is causing an uneven "cut" extrude.  I have drawn this part using both the Loft tool and Surface Planes and get the same result.

When using the emboss command I cannot select the short side surface to complete the emboss.

Here is a drawing showing the extruded surface on the long side and the incomplete extrude on the short side.  Also included is the sketch used for embossing.

Hope this provides a clearer description of the problem.

Thanks

Note that the drawing attached shows the extruding of surfaces on the long and short side.  I mistakenly wrote that they were embossed in my previous response.

Original: Here is a drawing showing the embossed surface on the long side and the incomplete embossing on the short side.  Also included is the sketch used for embossing.

Corrected: Here is a drawing showing the extruded surface on the long side and the incomplete extrude on the short side.  Also included is the sketch for the failed embossing on the short side of the chimney.

@tdelaneyHRVWS, Was able to get the impressions on the side walls. But it looks like your side walls are also at an angle. So you will have to align your brick wall to it to get the desired output.  (File attached)

For a start, I forced the model to create a diagonal plane as it is now, and made a brick-like sketch of it and extruded it to create a pattern.

I will paste the data and share the video here.

As others have said, many aspects are distorted.

This shape may be reproduced on CAD, but it is extremely difficult to actually manufacture.

The reason why we are stuck this time is also because the plane is not flat, and if it were flat, both Extrude and Emboss could be executed without difficulty.

The main cause of this is this 3D sketch.

This sketch should be drawn as Front View and Side View and Extrude as a solid.

We have tried to model it in a way that would be efficient.

The dimensions have been matched as much as possible, but the inside flesh has been changed uniformly.

Sketch Side View

bunga_3-1670651190676.png

Extrude, length is appropriate.

bunga_4-1670651241794.png

Sketch Front View

bunga_5-1670651298896.png

Extrude the outside of the sketch.

bunga_6-1670651333678.png

Use Shell to remove the meat. This time, we made it 2mm.

bunga_7-1670651377606.png

Extrude the part that will be the foot. Details are omitted.

bunga_8-1670651437087.png

Sketch the brick pattern.

The groove part is troublesome, so I only made the part that sticks out.

bunga_9-1670651497021.png

Pattern each surface with the Emboss command.

bunga_10-1670651527861.png

The Emboss command can be performed using the same sketch for all surfaces.

The finished product.

Almost the same shape. Notice that the number of histories is different.
