Break link but keep copies in model the same

I like to insert components from a folder, like nuts and bolts. This creates a lot of linked parts. When I brake these links to speed up my computer, the table on my drawing does not see them as equal anymore and puts them separate in the table. e.g. when i have 20 M16 washers, i have 20 lines in my table. Before breaking the links, there was 1 line in my table with quantity 20.

The only way i can solve this is by copying the washer in my model.

Is there anyway to break the links, but keep the parts equal in my model?

Wijbrand

No, unfortunately not. The workflow I use for imported parts that I am not going to modify and even may replace with another is to insert it, immediately break the link before saving the design and then multiply it (copy/paste) in the design.

Saving it with the link maintained will make it difficult to delete it from the data panel if you don't need it anymore.

Ok. Thanks.

This is the way I do it now too.
