Boxes for line length, angle text entries get in the way when trying to sketch outline

If I try to make a freehand line tracing an outline the boxes that appear to enter the line length and angle get in the way of where I want to put many of the points, what can I do to fix this?

Yeah, it's a pain sometimes. Mousewheel zoom in or out a bit. The dimension box stays the same size, but your sketch doesn't.

There's a secret algorithm that knows where you want the next point and it places the entry fields there.  You can't fool it, so don't try 😀
