Boundary fill won't compute

I have a rather large and complex assembly, and I need to do some CFD analysis on it. As I've done plenty of times, I've constructed some offset planes and tried to use the boundary fill tool to create the 'negative' of the assembly, but the boundary fill doesn't compute. I'm guessing it has something to do with the number of bodies in the assembly, but I don't know for sure.

Apparently I can't upload .iges files, so here's a Google Drive link. Essentially what I'm trying to do is fill the space between the planes seen in this picture and create a cavity where the assembly was. The details of where these planes are isn't super important except for the central plane in the picture needs to cut the assembly in half along its vertical axis. I've also attached the error message I'm getting. I can select the assembly, but as soon as I select one plane, I get the error message shown. As far as I can tell, my assembly has bodies with clear overlap so I'm not sure how to interpret the error message. Here are the screenshots:

I might be able to look at the IGES model, but the design in native Fusison 360 format would certainly be much more helpful.

 

What I'd like to understand is what would you accomplish with filling the volume between the two planes minus all the volume taken up by the actual design ?

Are you trying to assess the overall volume of the design to assess displacement ?

Apparently Fusion360 doesn't yet support exporting assemblies to a .f3d file. 

 

Don't know how familiar you are with Autodesk CFD, but essentially I need to make a negative of the design so as to define where the fluid can flow. I need to essentially create a box with a cutout of where the assembly is. This link does a good job of demonstrating how the actual geometry is reflected in the CFD geometry. So I'm using the planes to define the edges of the wind (water) tunnel. Hope that helps clear it up.

If this is imported geometry then you have access to a tool in fusion direct modeling tools made just for CFD simulation.

Under create at the bottom is a command called "create fluid volume."

@Asesnic NO, I am not familiar with Autodesk CFD, but I am very familiar with Fusion 360, which absolutely supports sharing assemblies. While that likely is not needed for this project, for future reference, if you find your design in the data panel and right-click on it then select "Share public link" you can copy that link and share it in a post here.

 

That will allow us to download a complete assembly in .f3z format.

I'm seeing that tool when I make a new file, but I'm not seeing that option on any assemblies or individual components that existed previously. How do I make it work? I've verified that I'm in direct modeling mode.
