Boundary Fill Going blank

I cant post images or the file because the client doesn't want his design publicly visible yet but I am having an issue utilizing boundary fill for a complex surface model. I am trying to create a shape that is similar to a body with a section filled in. You can think of the shape as a hollow cone with ridges around the outside and a hole at the pointed tip.

I have successfully created a projection of the inner edge of the cone, have a flat bottom and the outer walls of the cone shape as my boundarys but when I select all the surfaces with boundary fill they all disappear from the screen.

think of if as a shape like this just with more complex geometery

any ideas what going on?

Since you are showing your screen capture of the similar shape, could you attach that model?

I was hoping you could attach the model you created your screen capture from.  It is pretty hard to see the complete shape from one picture.  I just threw together some surfaces to do a Boundary Fill, maybe it will remind you of something you forgot.  Model from the Screencast is attached.

This isn't how it works. Yuu attach your specific problem model to a post, and then we can comment on that specific model. Export as .f3d and attach to next post.

This model works fine, it was more just a visual representation.

Thats what I thought originally too but the strange issue is when I select the boundarys then go to select cells, everything I've selected as boundarys just disappears on the screen. The bodies shown as selected in the menu are not hidden and no checkboxes appear. If I click back to select tools the bodies show back up, choose select cells everything jumps off the screen.

Thanks for taking the time to do a video, thats normally what I would do and it works, the weird thing that's happening is that when I select all the tools and move to select a cell all the model bodies disappear from the screen. There are no relative hidden bodies on the screen in this screen shot, if I click back to select tools they reappear.

it is possible that you have a "leak" somewhere in your design.  When the model disappears like that, it can mean that there were no actual cells identified to be selected.  Unfortunately, it is hard to debug remotely without the model (I understand that you cannot share it).  So, I guess the approach is to just look very closely to make sure that all bounding surfaces and work planes do defined a closed volume.  One technique I use here is to add more workplanes temporarily to the model to use a kind of "divide and conquer" process to find where the leak is.
