Best way to remove dashboard from this design?

Hi everyone,

Complete newbie here. I am attempting to remove a dashboard from the attached model, to 3D print for somebody, but I am having difficulty finding something online. There probably is a simple way to do it, that I am missing.

Hi @Anonymous. 

I think Meshmixer is a best tool for mesh manipulation. If you don't know it, give a try.

Here I used Plane Cut, Separate Shells and Combine to remove a chassi's part.

It's is possible to do something similar in Fusion too:

1. Import your mesh;

2. Right-click Root Component and select Do not capture Design History. This will enable Fusion Mesh environment.

3. From there you can Plane Cut , Delete Faces and Make Closed Mesh, if needed.

Here I tried to use Delete Faces and Make Closed Mesh. I used a low resolution purposefully, but you can slide up the bar to get better results.
