Best practices for fully constrained and defined 3D sketch

I have had success making fully constrained (defined) in 3D sketch mode but this one is giving me some trouble.

Anyone have a workflow that works consistently?

See attached f3d file, the sketch in question is "3DoorInterior" and see attached screenshot of detailed 3D sketch with dimensions. The sketch needs to be coincident constrained to any projected point except for the origin.

See link for Youtube screen recording.

Hi,

Based on your screenshots, I can only recommend that you create separate 2D sketches on separate layers.

Please add the file and a picture of the object to be created.
Then I can show an alternative procedure.

I agree with @g-andresen that this does not necessitate 3D sketches.

Those should be limited to "special" functionality.

Fully constraining a 3D sketch is possible but a lot more tricky than a 2D sketch. 3D sketch functionality is still under development so limitations and bug are to be somewhat expected.

Hi @g-andresen ,

See attached Source 9 (Alpha) v25.f3d file and picture of object to be created.

This can all be done with 2D sketches.

I would use the BORN Technique for this design.

(Also - I saw a several unnecessary repeated dimensions.)
