Best Choice of Visibility: Component or Body?

I am learning my Browser Management and Navigating skills with practice drills. So these are not real parts but just simple shapes. I am naming every component and body to match the parts of my design.

When making the choice to turn off the visibility of either a body or the entire component, what differences will I notice?Gold Silver Bronze.png

Components can be made up of multiple bodies so visibility will affect either each body or all of the bodies that are parts of the component.

Hi,

1. hide body > only the body is hidden

2. hide component > all elements included (body, sketches, planes...) are hidden

A lot is workflow and personal preference.  However, one thing to know:  If you have external components (Inserted), you can change the component visibility from the referencing design, while you cannot change the body visibility without editing the referenced design (either in a separate tab or using Edit In Place).  For that reason, I tend to stick to component visibility.  I tend to usually on have bodies visible in components once they are completed, so issues such as sketch or work plane visibility are not often an issue.
