beginner's question - draw torus on plane

Hi All,

When I draw a torus, the torus is positioned half above the plane it is created in, and half below the plane it is created in. However, I want the torus to sit exactly on the plane.

I can accomplish this by moving the torus upwards by exactly half its thickness, but I was wondering if there is any way to draw a torus so that it is created sitting on the plane, rather than being divided by it?

Thanks,

Edward

Create a plane below the current plane with an offset distance equal to half the thickness of the torus.

OR

Use a joint to position the torus.
