Beginner here. Adding a dimension symbol in a linear dimension

Hello,

So I am trying to add a diameter symbol to a dimension and I saw that need to add "%%c" to the dimension text IPE. 

1. Could someone explain what the dimension text IPE is? I have read several forums about it but I still don't understand.

2. Where is the dimension text do I add the %%c? Is it before or after "29.41" or after the "mm"?

Any help is appreciated.

Normally you do not have to use the character symbol string to get a diameter symbol, it is placed automatically.  If you are dimensioning something that is not a diameter, heavens knows what, you can use the %%c in front of the text according to ANSI drafting standards.  Take a look at the Screencast.

Edit Sketch 

Start Dimension

Select centre line and then outside line, before placing the dimension on the screen,

Right Mouse Click, select Diametre Dimension,

place the dimension and create value.

Just a minor update. While adding the dimension, with new centerline type, whenever user selects one centerline and a parallel line or a point we automatically switch to diameter dimension.
