[beginner] Fit point spline in the middle of another line

Hello,

beginner here, tried to find answer but I'm maybe looking for bad words. I'm trying to create fit point spline consisting of 3 points where I'd like to have middle point always matched to the middle of corresponding line. I'd like also to define the dimension between this middle fit point spline point and the middle of the line. Couldn't find an easy solution. Can anybody please advise? I'd like to have this model parametric.

you need a horizontal constraint between the midpoint of the line and your spline point.  Or, add a horizontal construction line to the midpoint.  I forgot to make the line construction, but you can do that

@bilaak

I would use the horizontal construction line to midpoint of the vertical line as demonstrated by @jeff_strater because it gives you a visual reference of what is controlling the sketch, but for the purpose of elaborating on a similar technique, view this video...

The point is (pun intended) always consider the logic of geometry constraints to help you sketch.
