Everyone here is so well versed in F360. The sticky notes on posting hints that one should not fumble his way through trying to get help as this is not a how to or training kind of a forum.

the youtube videos zoom by really fast and when i think i have a technique down i open up the work space and stuff wont work , “as seen on tv” . A user manual for each operation or button, or technique to follow a path with different profiles, importing an svg from a joeg to use as a template... this stuff looks great on YT and earns likes, but many videos were made a year ago, and creators have since moved on to other projects.

i don't want to ask lame questions but that is where i am with F360.

Is there a newbie section, different forum or website, filled with ahemmm, newbies, wanting to learn this incredible software?

thanks in advance

IMO, there really are no such things as lame questions here.  Don't be put off by the responses on the forum.  If you are a beginner, just say so in the question.  Mostly, the responses will take that into consideration.  Better to ask than to struggle for hours and get frustrated.  It is usually worth doing a search here - often someone else will have had that same question, or gotten stuck at the same place.

One thing I do with the videos is hover over the pause button, and sometimes even slow down the playback.  Sometimes it can be easy to miss a critical dialog setting or selection action, so backing up and watching again, or pausing and trying it for yourself can be helpful.

CAD is a complex area, but stick with it and you'll get it, sooner than you think.

Hi @smithblazen ,

I think the best thing you can do is take the Autodesk Design Academy courses.

Access this page and filter by software, Fusion360:

https://academy.autodesk.com/explore-and-learn

Your user wiil be the same as your Autodesk Account.

As you can see, there are many courses of different levels and work environments, from beginner to generative design.

And if you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to ask them in the forum.

I hope it helps.

Kind regards.

Hi,

Just ask concrete questions here, whether you are a beginner or an advanced user.
If this question is then accompanied by a picture or video material and ideally a file, you are guaranteed to get hints on the solution and even files with alternative solutions.

I see you have a question here about SVG import. It would be a good idea to attach your SVG in that post so someone can help. My guess is your SVG is still just an image, you need to convert it to vectors before saving out from Photoshop.
