Hi,
I'm very new to Fusion 360 and CAD design as a whole - 2 days in and counting! I'm simultaneously going through video tutorials from Autodesk and trying my own project but have hit a small issue I can't resolve.
Currently I'm having issues with moving two components together as one object. See screenshot below
This object is two components; the 'Clapperboard' and the 'Sticks'. I temporarily want the ability to move both together as one, however do not want to join them permanently as I have modifications I need to make to each.
I have tried multiple similar titled posts on this forum but seem to misunderstanding how this would work. My attempts so far:
1. Combining the two components under a higher component, this doesn't seem possible
2. Selecting both and using 'Selection Sets' but I could not get this to give me desired results
3. Selecting both and trying to join them using a rigid join which also did not work
4. Grouping them together by selecting both and selecting 'group'
5. Grouping them together using 'Rigid grouping'
I'm well aware that I need to learn each of this tools properly in depth but for now I wanted to get a simple design working as an experiment. If someone could help me with this issue it would be much appreciated. I'm sure in time the proper methodologies will come to me as I go through the tutorials.
