Beginner CAM issue

HI, I'm trying to cut this piece on my cnc machine. I've set my origin to the upper left of the stock.

My problem is that the endmill initially plunges straight down and over(red arrows on pic) to go to the entry point instead of retracting up and over(blue arrows). I'm not sure if I have a WCS problem or just need to change direction of retract, or something else.

I've done some more troubleshooting and it looks like I have the same problem as this guy, however I don't have the

'Clearance Height' option as shown in this screenshot, anyone know where it may have been relocated to?

Hi @tkqe

Thanks for posting.

Work around the heights tab and make sure that retract, Feed top and bottom heights are properly defined to avoid this type of direct plunging into the model. I hope you can reselect the heights tabs to resolve the issue or you can share the CAM file with us.

File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply.

@tkqe  If you are using the new NC Program option it's under save retracts. EDIT This assumes you're using the Mach3 post.
