Is there a way to change the background color in the drawing mode to anything other than white? I was looking to change it to blue to make a 2D model look more like a blueprint. Thanks in advance.

I know that is an option in the model mode but can that be done in the drawing mode instead of the white background?

OOOOOOOH!

No. There is no option for that.

Back when blueprints were actually blue, it wasn't because the designer colored everything blue and then drew white lines. Nor was it because they started with blue paper. It was because the ammonia reaction process that created copies of the original pencil drawings resulted in that look.

So I'm guessing Autodesk never thought to include such an option, since no designer ever said, "Hey boss, can I have some blue paper and a white pencil to work with?"

Not saying it wouldn't be nice to have user controlled options like that...just guessing about why we don't.

It can be seen that it is developed by programmers and not mechanical engineers. I would give all programmers a white background in the visual studio and I would use to program them in it. they would be blinded by the white one for a moment. The Autocad developers also knew that the background should be black.
