Assembly component alignment problem

Is anyone else having a problem like this? Have a look at the images. It is of a 2 room suite I am working on. The bedroom/bathroom is an imported component of the suite, and has the sub-components -mentioned below- of it's own.

Notice the change in position of the toilet, shower and bed. They have all sunk into the floor and the color of the toilet has changed to floor material.

Hi @knndnnr

Thank you for inviting me on your project.

I've looked into your model. I couldn't reproduce the same situation with you. Smiley Sad

When I opened your joint, it was missing something... so I couldn't make the same.

Hi Ahreum,

I suspect that my problem in this model has never been seen before. None of
my many other projects have anything like this. I would suggest we drop the
issue unless you have nothing better to do with your time, as there is a
good chance on one else will ever experience anything similar.

It is quit weird though and I wondered if anyone else had come across it.
You should see what happens to the shower stall if I move it above the
floor in the sub-assembly. In the parent, the shower stall bodies are
spread all over the place!

If this project displays correctly on your system, that would suggest a
compatibility issue with my graphics driver, no?

Hi @knndnnr

Thank you for replying Smiley Happy

I think we should discuss with meaning of joints

You created by using the top down skill (following the layout) so we couldn’t find “Joint” folder in your “BandB” assy. I suspect that you just use the Move function. In this case it looks fixed but if you move something it would be moved.

Please take a look at this.  http://autode.sk/2b3ueMb

There were 2 cases.
1. Assy without Joints --> Insert to the other Assy.
= bodies included will be moved seperately.
To solve, we use the "rigid group option or Asbuilt Joint"

2. Assy with Joints --> Insert to the other Assy.
= Bodies included will be moved together.

In conclusion, To solve this issue we can do 2 ways.

  1. added “Rigid Group” option
  2. Set the exactly location when you located part at first and then use “As built Joint”.

If you need more help, Please let me know Smiley Happy

Many thanks!
