I just noticed that The arrange function has been modified, and now arranged components are "derived" as new components in the same drawing. This is a great tool for some operations, however when you have multiple components which are similar but not the same, it can be very time consuming to check which items have been left out when you do not have an envelope which is large enough to host all components. I would suggest that the user should be given the option to either "derive the arranged components" or simply move the existing components without creating a copy.

I totally concur.

For most of my "arrangements" I want to be able to toggle visibility via the components in the Manufacturing Model. I have no reason to need a derive in this area.

As you say, I now have to manually reconcile between the visibility of the derived components and the originals and in the Manufacturing Model I'm using at the moment there are >200 components...

In the example below, the parts of which 5 are visible in the model, and 1 I have already arranged it's fairly easy to work out the two that are left. But I will have plywood sheets (the sketch layout rectangles, grouped by thickness) with multiple arrangements, from many different parts of the model, and lots of them

Also, my arranges go into the rectangle at the bottom, and then often I have to move parts into the rectangles above manually as the algorithms or the arrange often generate very poor nesting results and therefore have to be tweaked as my parts are not simple shapes. Going back and editing arranges I seldom have the need to do so.

I'm going to end up with a long, long list of arrangements in the browser, and just like NC programs and setups there is no was to group of manage them.

This has essentially made my working with Manufacturing Models really risky and therefore potentially compromises all my CAM workflows that follow.

@seth.madore Any way to disable this "feature"?
