Apply design to another sketch

Hi. Im new to fusion and 3D modelling as a whole. Ive work with 2D in the past and work with parametric 3D modelling for kitchen cabinets. Im wondering if there is a way of applying a existing design (a cabinet) to a new sketch (width/depth/height). I essentially want to know if it is possible to draw the floor plan of a kitchen and drag and drop a parametric cabinet into the space (sketch). 

Any advice would be helpful or alternative way of working!

Yes, why sketch? - can be a sketch  The Cabinet will arrive in a new file, as a component, and you joint it to the location, (Floor Component) - Repeat.

The cabinet still needs to be parametrically driven once its in place

Normal Joints are parametric.
