I made a sketch of two rectangles > extruded them both at the same time to create 2 bodies > when I made the bodies components only one got that anchor symbol.

it's the new "ground to parent" functionality.  you can read up on it on the what's new page.

Hello,

Whenever you create a first Component in the root it will get GTP (Ground To Parent) by default, You can UnGTP is by RMB Component> UNGTP. Or you can disable this first component by default by changing preference setting from Preferences> Design> Assemblies> Uncheck First Component GTP.
I hope this information will help you.

Regards,
Akash

This stumped me too even though I had read about the new to ground to parent functionality when it was announced.  I kept searching for "down arrow". Then I zoomed in on a screen shot and realized it was an anchor.

Thanks @laughingcreek  and @akash.nawghare!. (and to @eerier_bleach0f for asking in the first place).

I want to learn more about this new feature. Under what circumstances is it beneficial to have this enabled?
