Not sure if I'm having some software issues... it normally works just fine

I added a screencast but it's not posting for some reason... any tips? I clicked on 'My Screencasts' below and selected the appropriate one but when I post it doesn't show...

anyway, here's a link to it

Using joints will align the components and keep them in position while align will not.

Why are you disregarding the Capture Position icons on the Toolbar?

Why are you not using Joint for that?

I simply wanted them aligned for now but even when I try joint it's acting glitchy. maybe the fact that I have two different types of handles, with one turned off has something to do with it?

Fusion has the Capture Position (pending) that will hold up some future operations.

The video has some shaded objects above the bolt, that are related.

File is required for assessment of glitchy.

I did a quick test and in my assembly the align function worked fine with a pending position capture feature.

More info and perhaps the design are needed to dig into this one

If you can't share it publicly I we can tag someone from AD to help out.

My experience, Capture pending, provides a confirmation Dialogue, before proceeding with another tool, didn’t happen in this video.

Might help....

I've attached f3d to this post.

I was copying and pasting as new so it would generate the screw as a new component, also tried importing from Mcmaster again but neither works.

get rid of the contact sets and try again.

also, using a position capture and then an as-built type joint is just going to cause you grief.  you would use a regular type of joint here.
