Advice on approach for a simple project

I've done a few small wood milling projects with minor success.  I'm trying a new one and I'd like to know how other people would approach it, hoping to gain some knowledge and new techniques.

On a flat piece of wood (probably Red Oak),  10cm square,  I'd like to carve the UN Logo with denser lines,  in outline, similar to this:

Using the SVG file here to get the continents.

Because it's a rather small intricate piece I was planning to use a tip of  0.1mm and only going about 0.2-0.3mm deep.

Instead of asking for help what I'd really like is to hear how other people would accomplish this. From file handling to milling.  What would you do and why?  Thanks!

I've done a fair amount of woodworking so here's my 2 cents. I wouldn't use red oak because of the darker grain lines. I would choose a wood with less noticable grain like walnut, mahogany, or even ebony as a base and then laminate a thin (1mm) venner of contrasting wood on top. After the glue sets, mill off the top veneer to reveal your design. I'm new to Fusion 360 so my advice is limited on that aspect. Best of luck.

That is a fantastic suggestion, thank you.  I went with Walnut and the result is very subtle, with a bit of stain to pick up the lines, it works.  The veneer trick will come on handy next time!
