Adding note to the center of the object, not to the lines.

Hello! I'm trying to add a note to the drawing but I can't add an arrow to the center of the object, I can only add the note to the lines. I need to specify some surfaces and it would be easiest to understand the drawing if the arrow would be pointed to the center of the object. How can i do that?

Hopefully there's a better method than this out there, but here's what worked for me:

1. Place the note on an edge to start.

2. Use the "Move" command under "Modify", and move the note. This should break the association (yellow triangle!) and allow you to place the note leader wherever you'd like.
