I HAVE A JOB THAT HAS 5 PARTS. I WANT TO PUT THEM ALL ON A 11 X 17 SHEET AND DIMENSION THEM.  HOW DO I ADD MULTIPLE PARTS TO A DRAWING SHEET?

First, you must have a Fusion 360 license OTHER THAN a Personal license.  Second, all the components (parts) must exist in the same model.  You cannot place component views in one drawing from different models.  The drawing is related to only one model, assembly or otherwise.   The Screencast will show the rest of the process.

That did the trick.  I have only used fusion on and off for a couple months but it seems like I will continue to use it for work so I greatly appreciate the detailed response.

Thanks for this! I had expected this feature to be found in the Drawing mode, but actually it's more component-related (i.e. "create a base view from this component"), so this method does make sense!

Hiii

Thanks for the explanation, I am also facing this problem.

One more doubt, is there any process for placing multiple bodies in a single sheet without converting them into components?

Hi

Re: multiple bodies in single drawing.

I found one possible solution, which seems to do what you ask, though it is a bit clunky imo:

Do what you did for the main solution below, but use the top-level component in the Design (ie Right-click>Create Drawing). Beneath that component are the bodies to be displayed in a single Drawing Sheet.  Repeat that process - of creating a drawing from the same top-level component to the same Drawing and Sheet - as many times as necessary.

In the Drawing sheet, under each component reference, show only the body to be viewed. Then add Drawing views for each visible body, under each component reference.  See example in the attached image.

Note: "Bodies in Drawings" is (rather confusingly in hindsight!) the top-level component in the Design.  So in the Drawing, the component references are shown as "Bodies in Drawings:1", "Bodies in Drawings:2" etc.

There might be some restrictions in this approach (??), but it seems to work!?  The screenshot attached shows this for a 3 body design/component.  Hope that makes sense and is helpful!  🙂
