Add/Rename a file version description?

Hi -

Is it possible to add/rename the version description of a file?  

As a general workflow question, if I'm going to try some iterations on a design, is it better to save the same file as different version #s (with appropriate names), or save as a new file for each iteration?  I'm thinking it's better to do it within the same file as new versions to minimize file sprawl, but I'm new to this so don't know...

Using the timeline as you indicated is great for editing a design, but I'm working on something where I want to try multiple designs for a component and see how they work once machined, so the issue with using the timeline for this is that I can only have one current model of a component at a time.  Also, it's not always quick to know exacly where in the timeline I want to go (i.e. if there was some kind of notes or marker function that you could search and immediately go to, that would help).  The nice thing about the timeline method is that if there are foundational elements I want to change that affect all versions of the downstream components, then this would be the way to go.  But again, with this method there's only 1 downstream compoment.  So I guess saving the file as different names is the better option, though that isn't ideal.  Do you run into this issue and, if so, do you manage it with the timeline method?

Sometimes I just type in the wrong or a poor description of the version. Is there no way to simply change the version description? Seems like a harmless and useful feature.
