add a base to a sculture 3d object

I downloaded a 3d sculture but the base is not flat. I would like to add a body ( a new base) or fix it.

Please help. Thanks

Hi,

If you haven't already, make the sculpture a solid by doing a mesh repair to make it watertight then convert to

solid. Then create a sketch and project the old base to get the shape outline and extrude it. Extruding it down a bit

should make it flat.

Cheers

Andrew

Saint Joseph is said to be the patron saint of craftsmen, engineers and Fusion users among others so perhaps he can help?  I have managed to close the holes and am working on some other issues. Will you 3D print?

I did plane cut in Meshmixer so you can print it.

Converting a mesh with that many faces into a solid is a B.A.D idea.

That is particularly the case when trying to perform a solid modeling operation on it!
