absolute and relative transforms/components randomly moving

Hello, after figuring out how fusion works, its getting much better (maya/max user)

There are two things that drive me mad, maybe with really easy solutions

1. Components sometimes randomly move, without even myself noticing until later when I have no undo.  what causes whole components to move while I work?

1.5. How can I move it back precisely, or snap it  edge on edge? (you can see how rail on top is supposed to mach other component rail)

2. How to get absolute transforms?   for example if I move sketch, face or anything by random number, then I can only change postition in LOCAL SPACE from that random Position.  I cant put it into exact postition in WORLD SPACE anymore.

thanks for any help with this

Components don't usually move randomly. How have you constrained the components in space ? Did you use any of the joints in the assemble menu ?

no I did not use any assemble tools or constraints, I must have done something else.

I also dont think I just selected component and moved it with move tool, you have to specify component.

However I figured move tool has point to point, that helped me to snap component back to its original position.

If your components just float unconstraint in space i is very easy to drag them around by accident.

If you don't want to use joints, then ground the components.

Even when you do want to use joints, you'll have to ground at least one component.

thanks, grounding should prevent it, I will ground all components I work on

Another question I have in respect to your design, are you doing this with the timeline turned on (capture design history) and if so, have tried to work in direct modeling mode ?
