A strange sketch problem

I'm drawing a simple sketch and need to divide a closed area into two separate closed areas.

There are two such areas, one divides OK, but the other one doesn't. Why?

I've attached a screenshot of the sketch, a video that that shows the error, and the .f3d.

Sorry, I thought I'd attached the .f3d. Here's another attempt.

Hi,

In sketch 4, an arc is missing.

Add missing arc via "projection"

Hi Gunther,

Thank you for your reply, which works fine. I still don't understand why the whole section is considered to be closed before the right hand arc is drawn, but then then deemed 'open' when the arc is drawn. Somewhat inconsistent, me thinks.

Hi,

Closed profiles can only be created by lines within the same sketch.

To detect open profiles, it is helpful to deactivate previously created sketches step by step.
This allows you to see whether, for example, lines have been “lost” in the projection.
