A sphere appears when combining these objects

Hello!

When I combine these two bodies:

This sphere appears

What is wrong? it doesn't look like a new body.  How can I get rid of it? It happens the same if I choose "join" when extruding the arc.

First thing I notice is that your Sketch1 is not fully defined.

When I add dimensions to the arcs - they do not appear to be logical (manufacturable) dimensions.

Next I notice in your image that the faces are not symmetrical?

Is something like attached what you are really after?

Definitely, @TheCADWhisperer's design is much cleaner and simpler.  If that meets your requirements, you should do it that way.

However, your method should work as well.  What you see is a graphics glitch that we will look into.  The geometry is not really there (if you export to STEP and re-import you will see that the model is OK).  However, the results that you get are clearly not acceptable, and shows us a bug, which we will look into fixing.
