A Beginner trying to Car Model

I'm new to using fusion 360 and was following this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eo_97kS1S_A and around the one minute mark it talks about picking an edge farthest from the center of the circle and using edit form to scale it down but when I attempted that only the edge I clicked on moved, so I was wondering how to solve that.

My bigger issue that is linked to this is that the edges somehow locked themselves when I saved and closed the application, so how do I go about solving that I can then work out how to edit form.

My suggestion would be that you familiarize yourself with the T-Spline tools using a simpler shape than a car. Once you are familiar with all the controls and how they behave get back to that car tutorial.
