3D modeling from vectors

Hello everyone,

I am trying to transition from Vectric Aspire to Fusion 360. In fusion you are able to quickly create a 3D shape from and shape/completed vector. Below is a quick video of what I am talking about:
https://youtu.be/V7UbccVNPSs

I am aware of the extrude function in fusion. I know I can add fillets to the edges... I would like to add a uniform contour that connects a shape. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

You may be looking for loft, but your description is just vague enough that I really can't tell what your looking for.  Can you draw a sketch or some other example of what you want to be able to do?

The video only helps in as much that it explains what Aspire does. I have a problem understanding what you mean with this statement :

Well I really appreciate the engagement in this forum. The video is there
to show the feature that is available in Aspire. Can Fusion 360 do
something as simply like in the video? I wish I could tell you the name of
the feature/function in fusion to better explain my self.

I know I can draw a circle in fusion, extrude it and create a cylinder.
What I would like to do is create a circle and create a half sphere. This
is the simplest way I can explain the way I would like to use Fusion. In
reality I will like to use this feature (if it is even available in fusion)
to do the same thing to other more complex shapes; like star or Nike logo,
a cross... Please let know if I explained myself better. In summery
create a sphere from the vector of a circle not a cylinder.

There term vector in Vectric Aspire seems to refer to a set of predefines shapes. In Fusion 360 this would be a sketch.

Also, I believe the more general term you are looking for is a domed shape and that isn't as easy I Fusion 360 as it is in Aspire.

Yes I am using the term vector loosely. Sketch or vectors from a .svg,
.dxf file are one in the same in Aspire. OK, domed shapes is what I am
trying to do,

As the others have said, it sounds like you're referring to loft.

Is this the sort of functionality you were looking for?

Hi Tony,

in fusion, there are many ways to create and put together models.

In the end it does not matter if you use the model, patch or sculpting mode > screencast.

Finally, you export the connected elements as only one stl file. Look at the modeling options in the tutorials and get started.

all the best

No it’s not loft. I don’t know what other way to explain it other to
watch the video. The video shows exactly what I want fusion to do. Yes I
know it’s a video of Aspire doing the task/feature. Just wondering what
that is called in fusion

Autodesk Screencast. It integrates very nicely with Fusion 360

What @I_Forge_KC is  the loft function creating dome shaped geometry.
