3 dimensional rail for loft?

I think using a loft may be the correct tool for this job, however, I need to loft between two surfaces, one being curved around another dimension. I'm having a tough time thinking of how to place a rail to get these surfaces to loft like the red example mesh in my pic. Does anyone have a hint of how I could achieve this? I've included the STL for testing.

Depends on the actual shape of the curved face, whether you thicken a surface, or as this example, Extrude Cut a profile through.

Insert the mesh, Create face Groups and Convert to Brep, to create a more workable solid body.

Create sketch and project the two corner points, make an Ellipse using the quadrant points.

Extrude the lower wall face to the top wall face, and extrude cut the ellipse.

Mirror the other 4 corners.
