123D files (*.123dx) import to Fusion360 does not work

I just saw this video on the F360 channel and it says I can import *.123dx files to Fusion 360. However, when I tried this, I was not able to open the file within Fusion 360 (see attachment). How do I do this?

Hi ,

Did you use the "Upload" within Fusion 360 to import this data or is this data that was already existing in your folder?

Used the 'Upload' button to import this into Fusion 360 today.

Does double clicking open the file? Do you mind sharing the file with me at raj.kumar.ilanchelian@autodesk.com?

Another thing that I want to confirm is if you go to Help - About - Is the build number 2.0.2937?

Sure I can do that. File does not open on double clicking. Build version is 2.0.2865. How do I update to the latest build?Using Fusion 360 on a 2015 Macbook Pro. The Mac App Store does not show any updates.

Fusion 360 updates automatically when you launch it and there's an update.
If you download Fusion 360 from the App Store, however, updates there take longer.

The last time I installed Fusion 360, it took me directly to the Mac App Store. I did not see any option to download it from the Autodesk site.

'Download Free Trial' : http://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/overview

The app is always the same trial or not, it's the user you use to log in that defines if it's a trial or subscription.

The version you are having is the older version. On the Mac app store we will have the update in the next couple of hours. Apple needs to approve this and it usually takes time. We now have the approval and are in the process of updating the app store. Once you get the new version this should work for you.

The update is now available on the Mac App Store. I have also confirmed that the 123D file that you sent me imports correctly. Please let us know if you have the same experience or not.

This works now. Thank you for the really quick assistance. The video mentions that the timeline of steps to make the design is also shown with 123D files but I do not see that when I open the file.

Just in case it doesn't work with the most recent version of your Fusion 360, this video helped me too.

Worked for me with Open. Was very slow, but I’m happy.
