1:1 dimensioning on drawing not 1:1

Is there a way to get dimensions on a drawing to truly be 1:1?   It would be nice if I could do a quick print to proof a redo of a design.   I have checked options in both fusion and PDF print window to ensure I am not in-advertantly selecting something that clips the drawing..  Funny part is some of the drawing is mostly proportioned correctly..  I am probably just missing something..   Photos below

Thanks in advance for any help.

I found where I got stupid, no problem here.   Sorry about that for anybody wasted time looking at this.   Sometimes you just get brain locked on something and cant see for the Forest for the Trees.   Can't believe I posted that.

Hi,

I have the same issue right now, but unfortunately I can't find what I'm doing wrong.

The drawings in the output PDFs are a little bit smaller than what they should be.

Please, could you share what was your mistake, probably I'm doing the same?

Thanks a lot!

HI @vennybytes -

Could you post any images or describe the issue your seeing in a bit more detail and I'll see if I can help you? Are you seeing the problem in PDF or print?

Thanks,

Scott

I've made that mistake once myself building a template for a sheet metal patch.

Lucky for me, I double checked my template before spinning up the drill.

In my case, the views were 1:1, but I printed the document at "Fit to Page" in my printer settings.

It threw off the scale enough to get me in trouble if I had committed before checking.

Hi vennybytes,

My first suggestion would be to verify your PDF print settings (Page Sizing & Handling) are set to Actual size and not Fit or Shrink oversized pages (which is the default when I just checked).

Please let me know if that does it for you.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi @Jonathan.Landeros, @cmiller66, @scott.price

Thank you for the quick reply!

How stupid of me - It was all about the printer settings.

I thought I've unchecked "Fit to Page" setting but obviously I was wrong.

So my case was the same as @Jonathan.Landeros.

Thank you all for pointing me the right direction!

Regards

Venny

Thanks for the update.  No worries, and not stupid at all, sometimes it's the smallest things that cause the biggest headaches!  Glad to hear it's working, if you do ever encounter a problem where 1:1 ends up not being 1:1 actual size, let me know - that would be a bug (and a bad bug) for sure.

Thanks,

Chris

Don't feel bad!  That mistake is a "right of passage".  If you haven't made that mistake, you're not truly using CAD yet! 🙂

I'm sure it's happened to just about everyone here! I've been using CAD for 20+ years.  The mistake I described in my previous post happened last week!
